What is the difference between traxxas tq and tqi

I am skeptical on what a radio can change. What would the people of RCSC. Com recommend? Share Share this post on Digg Del. Sponsored Links. Re: Traxxas Tq Vs a good radio?? Another transmitter with more features and adjustments would be more convenient and give you a little more control, but you're not really missing out on much with the Traxxas radio.

I personally prefer Futaba, been using their gear since the mid 90's without a singe issue. They seem to offer free shipping for a week or two every month. Do not know anything about traxxas radio but my guess is it might be like the associated radio Did not think latency was such a big deal until switching to a better radio then going back to the associated radio to compare. Once you get used to a good radio, the difference in latency is huge. Latency being the speed the tx and rx talk to one another.

Bought one for my grandson and I can not tell any diff in latency between the 2. Minor software diffs but none that you will probably ever need. Distance is good and quick response.

I could have just went with the 3pl, the one mentioned by Eric. I've used Futaba since I got my Driver lic.. I had a Mag. Then before I left the hobby, a Magnum Sport which I got in the early 90's and used till 96'. I'm leaning towards the hitec mostly because of the easy pay system.

As I'm almost broke right now… and also I currently own 2 cars. I run a mmsct in the scte and don't want to deal with that right now. I think once I get an rx8 later on I may get the dx3r. Its menus though can be a pain to go through if you are not used to it.

Tried different receivers, etc. Decided to try Futaba again and have been happy with how its been working out, and in general no brownout issues seen with MMP unless it was in 2S SCT 4x4 usage and a really high power servo.

I am still waiting for a radio system that can read higher voltage levels seen in 3S and above usage like what Nomadio offered before getting out of the RC Market. Just a little update for everyone. While asking about it he says he has another DX3R non pro he would sale if I wanted it. For a great price also!

So I'm going with the spectrum. Not sure if I'm going to have any issues with my mamba max. Anyone know? The Traxxas Link Wireless Module is included with vehicles that feature factory-installed telemetry. The second-generation TQi 2.

TQi 2. One of these receivers is included with all Traxxas models that include the TQi for models including TSM , and the is included with the TQi when you buy the system separately. The X and receivers can also be used with the TQi, however, they do not support telemetry.

Third-Generation TQ 2. This transmitter includes the receiver. This receiver can also be used with all TQi transmitters, but the receiver does not support the transmitter's telemetry or model memory capabilities. Legacy 2. Click here for more details! Adding Telemetry to Your Traxxas Model Telemetry is the ability to gather performance data from your vehicle remotely. This data is displayed on the Traxxas Link dashboard and can be recorded for playback later, since you'll need to keep your eyes on the road as you drive!
