If attempting to obtain the maximum number of quests, Eternal Exile is the one quest which mustn't be started added to the journal since doing so will mean expulsion from the Dark Brotherhood , which makes the remainder of the quest line inaccessible. Thus, quests are the most that can appear in the journal instead of all If attempting to complete the maximum number of quests, there are four quests which can be started but cannot completed:.
Thus, of the quests which can appear in the journal, quests are the most that can be completed. Several quests can be rendered inaccessible or unable to be completed because of conflicts with other quests. It is therefore advised to plan when you time your quests to start or finish. There are 17 main quests in this quest line with three side quests, two of which can be missed, one of which does not appear in your journal:.
If going for the maximum number of quests, Eternal Exile is the one quest which cannot be started added to the journal since doing so will mean expulsion from the Dark Brotherhood , where the remainder of the quest line is then inaccessible. If going for the maximum number of completed quests, Whispers of Death can be started but not completed. It is the final quest in the Dark Brotherhood quest line, and can be "completed" repeatedly for a gold reward, so it never appears completed in the quest journal.
If going for the maximum number of completed quests, Expelled from the Fighters Guild can be started but must not be completed since doing so will disable completion of the quest line.
Additionally, it is impossible to be expelled after you have become Master of the Fighters Guild. If going for the maximum number of completed quests, Cast out of the Thieves Guild can be started but not completed. It will never be removed from your journal despite completing it and can be repeatedly completed. This requirement also ensures that you have the maximum level possible for your character and all Skill perks.
The maximum possible number of Oblivion Gates shut is 50 random gates , 9 city-related gates , and the Great Gate , outside of Bruma. In order to find all 50 random gates, you will need to explore possible Oblivion Gate locations after completing the Dagon Shrine quest and before you enter Mankar Camoran's Paradise during the Paradise quest. You must close all of the Oblivion Gates before completing the Main Quest : after Light the Dragonfires has been completed, all Oblivion Gates will automatically disappear.
Some players have had problems making the accomplishment page state that 60 gates have been closed. In this situation, you must leave one random gate open until after closing the Great Gate. Prior to closing either of these last two, your accomplishment page will read Even after you close the Great Gate, the accomplishment page will not change to Only after you close the last standing random gate will both that gate and the Great Gate register as closed, giving you a total of This region features hilly expanses that flat out over time as the player approaches the coastal regions, with the area being full to the brim with some truly stunning locales that will make the player's jaw drop The Imperial City might be a massive highlight of the game in itself, but what makes this location even better is the fact that the Great Forest that surrounds it is also incredibly beautiful in its own right.
Of course, players who wind up getting lost in this beautiful should be extra careful while exploring this area, unless they happen to be caught by some overzealous foes who end up causing a premature Game Over. Speaking of the Imperial City, one absolutely can't mention Oblivion 's breathtaking places without talking about this amazing capital, which is easily one of the most notable areas in the entire game.
However, even in a city as incredibly as this one, there's one particular area that stands out due to how deceptively beautiful it really is — the Imperial City Waterfront. The area itself might be full of the worst scum in the Imperial City, but the location itself can be quite scenic at times.
Speaking of cities in the world of Oblivion , it would be hard to not mention the northernmost settlement present in the game — the city of Bruma.
Unlike most of the other cities in Cyrodil, the climate in Bruma is colder than most other areas, forcing people to adopt different lifestyles to survive in such a chilly town. However, for the player, this shouldn't really be a major issue at all — in fact, the snow-capped areas in and around Bruma can actually allow for some picturesque sights that are pretty unique as well, given the rarity of snow in the game as is.
While there were some DLCs and add-ons released by Bethesda that ended up being quite underwhelming — with the cosmetic Horse Armor being a great example of this — the Wizard's Tower add-on was worth it simply due to the quality and beauty of the area that's added in the game.
Frostcrag Spire is a tower located to the east of Bruma, with the tower offering endless opportunities for players to experience some of the most scenic views present in Oblivion. The fact that this tower can serve as the home of the Hero of Kvatch is the icing on the cake!
I plundered every dungeon I could, and became fat from the profits. However, there are some parts that I definitely missed, including some on this list. Which of these have you not yet discovered? Excuse me, I'm just going to go reinstall it. Want to ride a unicorn? Of course, you do. Make your way to the Inn of Ill Omen near Bravil, and head north-east. Approach with your weapon sheathed, else it will turn hostile and end you with ease.
Also, beware: the grove contains a trio of minotaurs who can also end you with a single swat as though you were a fly.
Oh, and you can't keep the unicorn: once you get off it, it'll be on its merry way. It is a fantastic easter egg, though. This unassuming looking inn is based in a ship on the Waterfront of the Imperial City.
Assumptions however, can be deceiving. This is kind of tragic, really. The note, described as "poorly scrawled," is heartbreaking. The troll describes himself as "wurst troll evur," and is haunted by the fact that nobody pays his toll. He believes he isn't scary enough, and decided to end it. Poor guy, someone should make a mod where you give him some counseling and turn things around with him.
So, you want to join a fight club, do you? Why it's there, I'm not entirely sure, since it's not involved with a quest. In a very late quest in Oblivion's main story, you head to the severely-misnamed Paradise, the realm of the Dremora Mankar Camoran. When you're working through this place, you may spot a remote island.
I imagine ghost meat is a delicacy in some part of Tamriel. All Things Alchemical is located in Skingrad, as every keen Oblivion player knows.
These ruins contain a whole heap of potions and ingredients, very useful for the heroes out there. What caused Falanu to have to move on is unknown, but judging from the state of the stall, it must have been something dramatic. This involves A lot of things really. Firstly, you have to steal a prize cheese collection well, it would make me think the world is ending too , cause a plague of rats, and eliminate livestock.
Sheogorath takes care of the rest, and it's clear he has a flair for the dramatic. Well, he makes it rain flaming dogs.
